ENDORSEMENT LETTER

WOMEN CALLED MOSES COALITION & OUTREACH, INC. | LETTER OF ENDORSEMENT & SUPPORT

June 28, 2010

I, Dalonika L. McDonald, District Unit Supervisor of The Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Parole Division – Ft. Worth Texas, am writing this letter of endorsement on behalf of Women Called Moses Coalition and Outreach, Inc. (WCM). This letter serves as both an official endorsement of the WCM organization, as well as a character and professional endorsement of Debra Nixon Bowles, Founder and Executive Director of WCM.

Ms. Bowles was introduced to our agency as a speaker for our program Women R Worth It. Ms. Bowles has shocked us with her elaborate speaking which touches the heart of each lady on parole. Debra, has encouraged our ex offenders to dream again. WCM has provided our women and men offenders with food, clothing and direction. Offenders are continually obtaining resources to help them reintegrate back into society and become productive citizens. While other organizations speak of what they can provide to our community of ex offenders, WCM is actually being a “doer”. I have witnessed first hand the superior services which were provided by WCM in Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas. Offenders and officers have been assisted in crises circumstances. TDCJ feels privileged to have such a service available to us. Ms. Bowles has an dynamic voice speaking out against domestic violence and providing light to issues the public is not aware of. Ms. Bowles has developed strategic goals to assist offenders in reestablishing themselves. This has built the confidence of women coming out of the institutions all over the state of Texas. Ex offenders under Debra Nixon Bowels educating hand has sent many offenders out into the community with an new prospective and effective tools of success. TDCJ would recommend Debra and WCM to any community organization, church, corporate business or individual who needs any of the services provided.

Women Called Moses Coalition & Outreach, Inc. is much needed in our communities. We understand key community supporters, funding and resources are the catalyst that keeps the doors of WCM open. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is committed to assist WCM in their need for further administrative resources and additional programmatic development. We will continue to collaborate with WCM to ensure the vision and mission for this great organization continues to expand!

Sincerely,

Dalonika L. McDonald, District Unit Supervisor
